It is with deep sorrow that we share that a beloved teacher and dear friend, Rob Shultz, passed away on November 13. To support our students in processing this unexpected news, we provided three counselors as well as local pastors who joined us throughout the school day yesterday. We each have stories of how he touched our lives. For many, they are the small things, memories we shared in our time together, some funny, and usually examples of his deep care for his students and colleagues. But for others, Rob touched us in very profound and life changing ways. We welcome your stories and photos and will craft a way to share them and honor his memory. Mr. Shultz taught at San Diego Academy for fourteen years and prior to that he taught at La Sierra Academy for four years. He was an educator for a total of twenty-one years. He impacted the lives of hundreds of students and colleagues with his dedication, warmth, and unwavering support. He was more than a teacher. Mr. Shultz was a source of kindness, wisdom, and inspiration to many.

The memorial service will be held on January 4, 2025 at the Paradise Valley Church. All members of the community are invited to attend. We encourage you to attend. More details will be available at a later time.
