Partnering For Eternity Update
Last week we had “Back to School Night” where the students and their families got to meet with their teachers to go over expectations and plans for the school year. Additionally, we had our Partnering For Eternity Orientation. This program allows students to be paired with a 55+ age mentor of your choice in a mutually beneficial relationship. In exchange for this connection, students are credited towards their tuition bill ($30/hr K-8 and $800/semester 9-12). Currently the program is FULL with 28 in K-8 and a waiting list of 8 people. August 21, 2024 First Day of School High School Handshake
After lunch on the first day of school, our high school Student Association facilitated Handshake. This annual event begins with a variety of activities and games with classes competing against one another. Handshake concludes with high school students shaking the hands of all of the teachers and high school students as well as a prayer over the new school year. This event encourages class spirit, allows students to participate in fun activities together, welcomes and introduces the freshmen and new students to the rest of the academy, and allows for an ease into the new school year.
